going merry - dreamship

Home, at long, long last

Words cannot really do justice to the past… oh, how long has it been? I'm completely jet-lagged, after getting caught in the worst snowfall for 58 years on the way, and spending 20 hours straight in our bus. We left Tokyo at 11PM, and arrived in Kyoto at 8…30? PM. The next day. We were set to arrive at 5.30 AM. Funny how things don't always turn out the way you plan!

Which is why I'm late with this, and haven't gotten in touch with people I've been wanting to get in touch with! The worst part is that I don't have much time now – my sweetie has landed in Itami, Osaka, and is on his way here! So, not much time, and my brain is shorted out beyond belief. Those 20 hours… no food… lots of snow… standing still for hours and hours on the motorway… but that wasn't what I was going to write! (See, told you my brain is shorted out.)

Jump Festa. Day 2. Surpassed day 1 in ways I hadn't even dared dream possible. There is nothing that I regret about going, not even after spending 26 hours just getting home. Nothing. My only feelings of regret right now are about the fact that I couldn't share this experience with more of my friends, and that it ended so soon. Which says a lot, because I was pretty worried before going that going for two days would be too much, and that I would wander about in crowded boredom. Turned out to be the furthest thing from the truth – there's plenty of stuff I wanted to do, but just didn't have the time with! There was enough to see and do there to last a week, easily! And I would have been happy to stay for that long. It really was… one of the most fantastic experiences in my life.

And there was a cut with more stuff here, but it's just too jumbled right now, and I promise I'll try to write more soon!
