Comiket catalogue!
Life is crazy. And it's driving me crazy. Fortunately the craziest part will be over by Friday, when I'll either have passed three exams (one yesterday, one today, one tomorrow) and written three essays (that'd be... tomorrow), or I'll be dead! I'm also trying to meet my brother who came from Sweden yesterday, and be social with my friends, and not get lost while taking the subway to my English lesson. (I teach!)

I... this is probably normal to anyone used to US colleges, but the way Swedish university works, we never have more than one exam or essay at a time. So. The everything at once is kind of killing me dead, although it's an interesting experience, yes. I feel much more multicultural now, or whatever I'm supposed to be doing with myself in this program.

Yeah. Stuff. So I was four days late in getting the Comiket catalogue! Bad fangirl. But, now I have it! And I've looked through the first day, and I'm already exhausted. In a blissful kind of way.

I would write more, but I found something that pretty much says it all.

There are Shadowrun doujinshi.

My favourite pen-and-paper RPG. Japanese fan-produced comics/novellas. The place where they both meet and become one? Comiket.

Which is kind of like Christmas, except for part where you pay for your own presents. ^_^

Shadowrun doujinshi?? Det var det knäppaste sedan de släppte SNES-spelet på svenska. Men coolt :) Vilket ställe, Comiket. Dit skulle man gå någon gång..... När man har vägarna förbi Japan XD

Yeah, you should! 35,000 circles; half a million visitors. Those are the numbers in the latest catalogue, so I believe them more than I do Wikipedia, for example, which puts the number at 350,000 visitors (I think). And I've found doujinshi for everything I've looked for - and a lot I never even though of looking for! - except one series which won't be released in Japan until August. But, yes. Shadowrun! Which risks being a written story, and not a manga, but still! I'm SO getting it. ^_^

PS. There are Moomin doujinshi.

German University: Everything from 4 to 16 exams in a timeframe of 4 weeks.

Last week I had Modern Japanese History (Meiji-1980s) on Monday and Japanese Etiquette on Tuesday. Then I have a paper to write about the differences of the the late Tokugawa-era Samurai and the Draft-soldier of early Meiji-restauration. Aaaand a shorter paper about Caesar's crossing of the Rubicon and the immediate political implications of this bold move. ... And that's a very lazy semester. ;)

The japanese-language exams are held on one day. A saturday. 0900-1400 - Three parts, three full exams, all directly after each other. *argh*

You just HAVE to share some of the SR doujinshi though. :)

Omatase shimashita! ^^;; Am finally done, and my brain's a few fuses short, but I've made you wait for an answer long enough already...

Oh, you POOR THING! Taihen desune~. That is absolutely horrible. I hate that kind of system - it's so unfair and unpedagogical (if that's even a word). I hope they've gone well for you! Especially the Japanese exams. Ugh. It's terrible - after that long doing anything you're really tired in the head, and exams? In Japanese? That's just evil!

I will! If it's a manga - might be just a written story, in which case... well. I won't even be able to understand it myself. But I'm SO getting it! :D

Ahhh, it is good to be over those examns. I am all done with those finicky demonpossessed facts of life when you study stuff.

Ahh, the good ol' days.

And you have to share the SR doujinshi. What is it, btw?

Bitten! *hugs* I've missed you! ♥

And now I'm a zombie, but - thank you so much for your comment. I love hearing from you.

I haven't gotten the doujinshi yet - I got a catalog for an event called Comiket, which Wikipedia explains much better than I could right now. It's either going to be a fan-published story (like fanfic), or a fan-published comic. The catalogue only has monochrome thumbnails of the covers, so I can't really tell which it is!
